This photo album documents life during pre-World War II Germany. Walter Schatzki, a book seller and Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany, took these pictures. Mr. Schatzki moved to New York from Weimar, Germany. In New York City he ran a bookstore on 153 East 57th Street. Alan Sondheim donated this collection.

One archival box containing one photo album and four other pictures.
